Jennifer W. Degen received her Master's in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1993. Over the past 19 years, she has worked in inpatient psychiatry at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital in Boston, for Elementary and Middle Schools in Vermont and Massachusetts, with gang youth in a rehabilitation program in Boston and as a Consultant Teacher in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Italy. Jennifer's counseling approach is systems oriented meaning that she views the family as an integral part of her work with all her clients. It is her goal to help clients understand the patterns that maintain the symptoms that they are experiencing. With very young children, individual play therapy is part of her work.
